Sullivan Renaissance will kick off their annual Volunteer Corps Orientation on May 4th from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Tango Café at 219 Main Street, Hurleyville. The Volunteer Corps offers assistance to Sullivan Renaissance initiatives that connect people with places and with one another; while instilling community pride. Opportunities are matched to an individual’s skills, interests, and availability. These include gardening, program support, outreach, photography, social media support, and more. Everyone can be part of Sullivan Renaissance and the mission to build beautiful, active communities in Sullivan County. You can have an impact on your street, in your community, and with your neighbors. Volunteerism benefits the community, the recipients of the service, and the volunteers themselves.

The Volunteer orientation is a chance to get to know Sullivan Renaissance and explore ways to participate. Meet the staff and learn about initiatives, projects, workshops, and community service opportunities. The JEMS of Jeffersonville is your volunteer group of people that work to keep Main Street in Jeffersonville beautiful with flowers, flags and perform weekly cleanup of the gardens and watering of the planters and several gardens too. They are always looking for more volunteers, contact me for more information and/or with any questions. We look for any time you can give to us !

Tickets for the Frank Sinatra Event on Saturday, June 18th is here and available for purchase at The Secret Garden Gift Shop (located at 4917 Route 52 – same building as the Jeffersonville Post Office) Tickets are $45 and include tasty appetizers. Wine, beer & non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. Tickets are limited to 80 and they are selling fast. Call me if you want more information or can’t get in to purchase the tickets. Come out for a great night of entertainment and dancing with Al Russo, one of the best Frank Sinatra Tribute Singers you will ever get to enjoy! Bill Gulino, pianist, will open the program followed by Mr. Russo.
