I hope everyone is ok and are recovering from the horrible storm(s) and tornado destruction  that hit our end of the County last weekend. Many thanks to our Fire Departments, Town crews, NYSEG workers and volunteers that worked helping tirelessly to take care of all of the destruction.

This Saturday the Youngsville Fire Department (located at 1822 Shandelee Rd, Youngsville) is hosting their Annual Roast Beef Dinner from 4:30 – 8 p.m. or sold out. Takeout dinners are $18 each. Sit down dinner, served family style is all you can eat - Adults $18, 5–12-year-olds $12, under 5 are free. Please come out and support your volunteers!

Congratulations to the Jeffersonville Fire Department, recently awarded the 2022 DEC Grant for a Honda Generator and a variety of Milwaukee cordless tools! They would like to thank Mullally Tractor Sales, Schmidt’s Wholesale, the NYS Forest Rangers and the Jeffersonville Fire District taxpayers for these valuable resources. 

The Jeffersonville FD Golf Tournament will be held Sunday, July 23rd between noon and 6 p.m. at the Roscoe Mountain Club (formerly Tennanah Lake Golf Course). Registration is at noon with a 1 p.m. Tee Time. The $100 per golfer/4 player teams includes 18 holes of golf and Lunch on the turn. Door Prize/Raffle, Scotty Cameron Putter. Each player will have their name entered to win but will have the opportunity to purchase additional tickets. A 50/50, various raffles, and contests. Reminder: JEMS beautification group of volunteers is holding a Penny Social on Saturday, May 13th at the Jeffersonville Firehouse. Doors open at 11:00 with calling starting at 1 pm. This fundraiser is being held to raise money for their beautification projects that includes the gardens and flower planters along the Main Street (which is happening very soon), the American flags, the Annual Duck Race/Jeff Jamboree and Community events in The Backyard Park. Get involved with Jeffersonville’s 5K Sap Run on Saturday, May 20th. The event starts at 9 a.m. and is USATF Certified: NY15094JG - runners and walkers are welcome. Find registration forms and online registration at jeffersonvilleny.com. Day of registration and race packet pick-up starts at 7a.m. and will be located in the Backyard Park. 

The Jeffersonville Fire Department is also holding a Pasta Dinner in support of John McCormack, the night before the Sap Run, Friday, May 19th from 5-8 p.m. (located at 4903 State Route 52, Jeffersonville) Registered runners eat free. If you are not a registered runner, a good will donation to the ALS Association in John’s name is requested. Gifts can be sent directly to: The ALS Association at 1919 University Ave W, Suite 175, St. Paul, MN 55104. (checks made payable to The ALS Association: in memo put John W. McCormack) John a Jeffersonville native, has recently been diagnosed with ALS. Help John and the 6,500 people in the U.S. diagnosed yearly defeat this disorder.  Please come out and support this community event.
