Winter has returned! Please remember to thank our “cleanup crews” for taking care of the snowy and icy roads, especially during the late night and early morning hours.

The new Jeffersonville Bakery has opened and is beautiful inside from a cozy room with a warm fireplace and comfy sofas and chairs to visit on, to the table and chair areas for you to meet with friends. The Baked goodies are delicious and coffee is great too! For those of you always working, grab a cup of coffee, a croissant, your laptop, and sit by the fire. When I was there several people were already doing just that. Kudos to a great baker and the staff for baking such tasty treats!

Join Robin Nervegna, of The “Artist's Pantry”( in Jeffersonville), and make Alcohol Ink Tiles at the Jeffersonville Branch of the Western Sullivan Public Library on Thursday, January 30th, at 4:30 p.m. Alcohol ink is a colorful, acid-free medium that's fun to paint abstract forms with. Robin will teach us how to apply the alcohol ink to ceramic tiles. No prior experience is required, and everyone is welcome, so come join the fun! All supplies will be provided, therefore registration is required. For more information and to register, visit WSPLonline.org, or call (845) 482-4350.

The AOH Sullivan Brothers are holding a fundraiser for the upcoming St Patrick's Day parade's expenses & for local charities on Saturday, February 22nd from 2-5 at Dutch's Tavern in Rock Hill. A bagpiper from “McPadden Pipes & Drums” will make an appearance and music will be provided by the “Windy Mule” band too. Raffle prizes, a 50/50 and a raffle for 2 lawn seats at a Bethel Woods concert are some of the fun being planned. The St. Patrick's Day Parade will be held on Saturday, March 21st at 1 p.m. down Main Street in Jeffersonville with lineup at noon on Willy Avenue (by the Lions Field).

All Fire Departments, Ambulance Corps, marchers, floats, car clubs, and anyone else wanting to join up invited to come on out and participate! The best float will receive $100, 2nd place is $50 and third is $25. Local eateries will offer Specials for your enjoyment! Come on out and have a great family fun filled day! For more information please call JP Graham at 845-807-7980.

Wednesday, February 5th at 6 p.m. the Sullivan Renaissance staff will be on hand at the CVI Building in Liberty, to review grant options & answer questions at their “Renaissance 101 Grant Workshop”. A good idea for all of those persons/groups interested in beautifying their community.

Have a great week and please let me know if you have anything to share.
