Jack and Doris Costello shared some special news - they were gifted $5,000 at an Award Ceremony with the SYDA Foundation last November that they decided to regift giving five donations of $1,000 each to the “Make A Wish Foundation”, “Ride 2 Survive”, “First Presbyterian Church” - food pantry, “Jeffersonville Lions Club” and “St. Jude Children Research Hospital”. These donations were all made in Honor of their friends and neighbors throughout Jeffersonville and Sullivan County. St Jude's mailed Jack and Doris a 2020 Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of their outstanding support in helping St. Jude to keep its promise to children and families battling cancer and other deadly diseases. Great job you two! Thank you!

The “Kenoza Lake Hummingbird” 4-H Group are busy collecting donations for St. Baldrick's this year as well as selling cookies, chocolate covered pretzels and candy to help raise money during the month of March. Donations may be dropped off at Dick's Auto Sales, Stunning Styles, Tresses Hair Salon or Bonnie's Beauty Salon. Each of these locations will also have items for sale too. Please donate towards this special St Baldrick's project for children's cancer research.

The Cornell Cooperative Extension of Sullivan County reports a Pheasant Chick Raise & Release Program. Order deadline for DEC Day-Old Chicks is March 20. Contact Barbara Moran for information bjm292@cornell.edu.

Don't forget to find a Jeff Fireman and get your tickets for their 19th Annual Chicken Barbecue at their Fire House (on Main Street) Sunday, March 29th from 1-4 with Take Outs only $10 each. Great BBQ and an easy meal!

The JEMS (Jeffersonville Enhances More of Sullivan) is a not for profit group comprised of people working to keep the pristine natural beauty of our area through cleanup & creative community involvement and hold family events during the year for fun for everyone! JEMS inspires community pride and supports volunteerism among many of the area youth organizations. They meet every third Thursday at 7 p.m. upstairs above the Village Office. (Next to the Jeff Library)They are always looking for new members -any time you could give would be deeply appreciated. A few hours a month, a day, or maybe help at an event. Reminder: The St. Patrick's Day Parade will be held on Saturday, March 21st at 1p.m. down Main Street in Jeffersonville with lineup at noon on Willy Avenue (by the Lions Field). All Fire Departments, Ambulance Corps, marchers, floats, car clubs, and anyone else wanting to join up are invited to come on out and participate! Come on out and have a great family fun filled day!
