Spring has sprung! The JEMS beautification group has planted all of their planters along Main Street for their businesses and the 51 hanging “baskets” are up too ! The Main Street looks wonderful thanks to this great group of volunteers! Call Sue at 845-482-5354 if you would like to join them.

Visit Forthright Cyder & Mead in their Tasting Room located at 4052, State Route 52 in  Youngsville, NY on Saturdays 1p.m. to 7p.m. and at the Jeffersonville Farmers Market (located 5 minutes away from the cydery) on Sundays 10a.m. to 1p.m. They are teaming up with the great folks of “Wild Russet Farm, and the Jeffersonville Bake Shop at the Jeffersonville Farmers Market on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 18th for a “Dad Day Boozy Brunch”! 

Sullivan Renaissance will discuss all things litter in the second installment of its Renaissance Roundtable series on Wednesday, June 15 at noon via Zoom. The program will feature litter warriors from Sullivan County and beyond who are tackling litter in creative, engaging, and even hard-hitting ways. Renaissance Roundtables are informal, discussion-based programs in which a panel shares examples and the audience engages in solutions and conversation. 

Sullivan Renaissance is committed to repeating the message that litter is an offense to our towns, our natural beauty, and in direct conflict with the work of our volunteers to build beautiful, active communities. The Western Sullivan Public Library’s have expanded their Wi-Fi outside of their library buildings making it easier for you to connect.  Recently each branch received equipment at no cost via the Ramapo Catskill Library System to expand the wi-fi connections to the parking areas and beyond.  To connect to the library’s wi-fi, from your wireless settings on your device, choose LIBRARY WIFI and agree to the Terms of use.

Join Miss Kristen at the Jeffersonville Farmers Market on Sunday, June 26th from 10a.m. to 1 p.m. for Storytime! Join her for a day full of Storytime and crafts! They’ll rotate between stories and crafts  throughout the day, so pop over and see what's going on!  Storytime is designed for younger children with crafts varying for all ages. No registration re­quired. 

The Sullivan County 4-H Program is offering a Pumpkin Growing Contest which offers the opportunity for youth to exhibit knowledge and ability to cultivate and grow one or more pumpkins! Pumpkin seeds will be donated by EM Livestock of Rushville, NY and guidelines for growing, record keeping on pumpkin growth, taking pictures of pumpkins and final weighing of pumpkins will all be incorporated into youth’s experience! Awards will be given in several categories including: the most unique pumpkin, the most uniform pumpkin, the best records, the largest pumpkin, the smallest pumpkin, and the best pumpkin picture! Register by June 30th with Barbara Moran, 4-H Program Manager!
