In September, the library kicked off a Community Input Campaign to help inform the strategic planning for the next five years. There are four ways you can help. Tell them what you love about your library by picking up a print version at one of their three branches and at various locations around town.

The second way to help is by getting everyone you know to fill out a survey. Next, follow on Instagram (@westernsullivan) and Facebook (Western Sullivan Public Library) and share their posts with your friends.

And finally, please leave the comments on their posts, videos, and stories, and tag them @westernsullivan #WSPL #LOVEMYLIBRARY. Everyone who completes the survey is entered into a drawing for a $50 gift certificate from Agway. To help them shape their future, you need to contact them by October 25th. All survey responses are confidential. Please call us with any questions at 845-482-4350. Your time and input are very much appreciated and will help them create their long-range strategic plan for the next five years.

Any New Yorker who is concerned about COVID exposure can request an absentee ballot this year. While the official deadline to request one either online or by mail is October 27th, the post office recommends applying for an absentee ballot today.

The earlier you request your ballot, the better. You can go to https://absenteeballot.elections.ny.gov/ to apply for an absentee ballot. Please be sure to vote in this very important election, every vote makes a difference.
