Joanne Parlow Nagoda, 61, of Forestburgh, NY passed away peacefully at Garnet Medical Center in Harris on Tuesday, December 31, 2024.

The daughter of the late Richard Parlow and Olga Hrenkvich Parlow, she was born on March 17, 1963 in Monticello, NY. Left to mourn Joanne’s passing is her mother, Olga; her partner, Karl Johnson; and her children, Alexander Nagoda and his wife, Jenna Nagoda of Ronkonkoma, NY, Amy Clark and her husband, Jonathan, of Chicago, IL, and Andrew Nagoda of Chicago, IL. Joanne also leaves behind two grandchildren; and a loving aunt, Helena Parlow Theurer of Park Ridge, NJ.

Joanne was retired from her career as the Forestburgh Town Clerk, an office she held proudly for thirty years. Her tireless work serving the people of Forestburgh was her proudest achievement.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. Her funeral service will be held on Friday, January 10th at 11:00am at the funeral home with Fr. Ivan Csete officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery in Forestburgh.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Forestburgh Fire Company, 2539 State Route 42, Forestburgh, NY 12777.

The family wishes to extend many thanks and prayers to the excellent nurses at the Critical Care Unit at the Garnet Health Medical Center for their sincerest care and utmost professionalism while they cared for Joanne in her final days.
