Judith J. Zampella of Wilson, NC, a retired History Teacher and college advisor for Wagner High School on Staten Island, passed away Friday, January 17, 2025. She was 81. She joined Ralph peacefully surrounded by her family in her home.
The daughter of the late Otto Olsen and Elfrieda Greenthal Olsen, she was born November 30, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY.
Judy was a master gardener and world class baker. She was a staunch supporter of Palestine and advocate for peace, love and unity world-wide.
She is survived by two daughters, Lisa Cerone and her husband Michael of NJ and Denise Allan and her husband Abder of NC; one brother, Allan Olsen and his wife Roseanne of NC; one sister, Elaine Medici and her husband Louis of NC; seven grandchildren, Sammantha, Jonathan, Noah, Laila, Aliyah, Samia, Armaan; and one great-granddaughter, Alyanna, who brought each other the most joy over these last 10 months. Smiles were in abundance when the two were together which was almost daily!
She was predeceased by her very devoted husband, her best friend and her world Ralph; her son, Jerry and granddaughter Kristeena.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 from 11 AM to 1 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Ave., Roscoe, NY. Burial followed in the Riverview Cemetery, Roscoe, NY.
