Summer is in full swing and there has been so many community events happening lately that it is hard to get it all in. The weather has been perfect for lake days, and it is so nice to see people in boats, kayaks, paddleboards and jet skis having the best Summer ever! These days will go by so fast, so be sure to set aside some time to enjoy all the things this summer.

Here are some events happening in our communities and beyond:

You’re O-Fish-Ally Invited! Join Us for the 2025 Lake Gala – “Lake It ‘Til You Make It” on Saturday, August 23, at 6pm at The Club at the Villa Roma, 356 Villa Roma Road, Callicoon.

Get ready to make a splash at the Lake Huntington Lake Association’s annual gala – a fin-tastic night of fun, fundraising, and lake-loving laughs! Held at the beautiful Villa Roma resort, this year’s theme is “Lake It ’Til You Make It,” and we’re pulling out all the stops. Evening Highlights Include: Lake-Themed Trivia with prizes, games, 50/50 Raffle and more. Please email lhnylakeassociation@gmail.com for more information. Purchase tickets here https://shorturl.at/NFnJu.

The Lakeview Bar will be hosting and welcoming back by demand THE HUNK SHOW on Saturday, August 30, with doors opening at 8pm and the show starts at 9pm. Tickets are on sale now at Lakeview bar – $30 VIP 1 person ticket or $30 gets you a 2-person admission ticket and get 1 free. For tickets or information, contact Chris at  845-932-5061.

There will be a Self Defense Class at the Delaware Youth Center on July 29 from 6-8pm. The self-defense system we offer is simple to learn and highly effective. It focuses on basic defensive techniques that are easy to remember and retain. In this class, you’ll learn how to recognize pre-contact cues, manage your distance, defensive framing, and to defend yourself against punches, chokes, grabs, and strikes. Register at https://shorturl.at/8gecy.

Fall sports sign-ups are now active for Sullivan West Middle School and High School. If your student would like to play a fall sport, be sure to sign them up on FamilyID. More information can be found on the school website.
