October in Lake Huntington is one of the best times of the year. The trees turn bright orange, red, and yellow, and the cool air feels fresh and cozy. You can pick pumpkins, drink hot apple cider, and see amazing fall colors around the lake and hills. There are local events, weekend fairs, and fun things to do outdoors before winter comes.

Here are some events happening in our communities and beyond:

Save the date: The Ladies Aid is hosting a Penny Social at Lake Huntington Presbyterian Church on October 18. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. See you there!

On October 19, 2025 at 2:00 p.m., the Delaware Valley Opera in Lake Huntington, NY, will host In Bloom and In Twilight, a spellbinding vocal and piano recital featuring soprano Veronica Mak and pianist Shaobai Yuan. Set in the heart of the Catskills at 6692 NY-52, this live performance showcases timeless works by Clara Schumann, Franz Schubert, Reynaldo Hahn, Alfred Bachelet, and Benjamin Britten. With a suggested donation of just $15 at the door, it’s a rare opportunity to experience romantic and early-modern art song in an intimate, acoustically-rich setting. Presented with support from the New York State Council on the Arts, this event merges artistry with local culture. For more information, visit DelawareValleyOpera.org.

The Cochecton Pump House has new fall hours which are as follows: Thursday & Friday from 4-9 p.m., Saturday & Sunday from 12 – 9 p.m. Please note the kitchen closes at 8 p.m.

Stop by Annie’s Ruff Cut for lunch or dinner on these fall days. They always have delicious specials as well as their regular menu! They open at Noon everyday but Tuesday, when they are closed.

Join April Michelle of Dancin’ & Dreamin’ LLC for line dancing at Seminary Hill on October 16, 2025. Free to dance from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. with food and drinks available for purchase.
