Hello, I went to the Antique car show at the Fosterdale Country Café last Tuesday. There was some very cool looking cars. I felt like I was on an American Graffiti movie scene. The owner told me that Sept. 7th will be their last day open for this year. She would like to thank everyone for their patronage and continued support this year. She would personally like to thank her hard working staff. See you next year Betty Snedeker.

Now available at the Cochecton Town Hall Clerk’s Office, obtain your hunting or fishing license. Town Clerk Maryann Oumrim is a decals agent, give her a call at (845) 932-8360 ex 11 or visit at 24 Smales Road in Lake Huntington. When you enter the town hall there are booklets on the table right by the door. There is the New York Hunting & Trapping book and NYS Freshwater Fishing book.

Lake Huntington Lake Association would like you to know that the lake was treated on Tuesday, August 24. The date was changed from August 19 due to bad weather. There were signs posted around the lake stating that the lake was treated with Seclear. The lake was back to use the next day. If you would like to make a donation to help keep the lake healthy you can send a check to Lake Huntington Lake Association to PO Box 95, Lake Huntington, NY 12752.

The Cochecton Volunteer Ambulance blood drive was a success. I was talking to Rob Senzon a member and he told me they collected 25 units of blood that could possibly save up to 75 lives. The membership would like to thank the community for supporting their blood drive, they exceeded the drive’s quota by 25%.

I got my SULLIVAN WEST BULLDOG 2021-2022 school calendar in the mail, did you get yours? Sullivan West CSD important upcoming dates: 9/8 first day of school, first day of modified sports, 9/10 pre-K open house, 9/13 first day of Pre-K, 9/15 ES Meet The Teachers night, 9/16 NO SCHOOL, 9/22 Board of Education Meeting, 9/23 MS/HS Meet the Teacher, 9/27 MS/HS picture day, 9/29 MS/HS picture day, 9/30 ES picture day.

With school starting up please drive carefully and stop for the school buses; it’s the law.

On Saturday, Sept 18, the Cochecton Men’s Club is having a chicken BBQ. Pickup will be at the Cochecton Men’s Club ball field down in the flats by the post office between 2-4 p.m., donation is $13. The men’s club is also selling raffle ticket. Prizes are a nice amounts of money, tickets are $20 each. For more information please give Sean Nearing a call at (845) 807-3933.

Save the Date: Saturday, October 16, The Lake Huntington Ladies Aid will be holding their Penny Social. The ladies are working hard to get this event going, stay tuned for more information.
