Hello, hope you are all doing well. It’s that time of the year where you see all the election signs out.

In the Town of Cochecton the people running are: Gary Mass (R) Supervisor 2 year term. Town Clerk - Maryann Oumrim (R) was the sole 2020 candidate to run for Town Clerk’s unexpired term for 2021 (Hollye’s final year), 4 year term. Two Town Justices: Our current Democratic Judges are the Honorable Steven Sauer and the Honorable Craig Fine. They serve a 4-year term. Two open seats for Town Councilpersons: Dr. Paul Salzberg (D), Kambri Crews (D), Sean Nearing (R) and John Nober (R). They are up for re-election, a 4 year term. Town Highway Superintendent: Kevin Esselman (R). This is a 2 year term. Tax Collector: Eileen Hennessy (D). This is a 2 year term.

Saturday, October 16: The Lake Huntington Ladies Aid will be holding their Penny Social. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. calling starts at 12:30 p.m., donation $1. MASKS are required. Refreshments served after calling. No food for sale this year. Please come out and support one of your local churches.

Tuesday, November 2: The Republican Club of Cochecton is having their Election Day Chicken BBQ from 4-6 p.m. at the Lake Huntington Fire House, drive through only. The price of the ticket is $13.00. Please call Ed Grund for ticket information (845) 252-7363.

Tuesday, November 9: Lake Huntington Fire Company Blood Drive is being held at the Lake Huntington Fire House, 70 County Rd 116, Lake Huntington, from 1 p.m. -6 p.m. It’s time to rise up and be a hero, because the need has never been greater. Your donation has the power to save up to 3 lives. Please join the Lake Huntington Fire Co. and American Red Cross Eastern New York.
