Hello, hope everyone is enjoying this nice fall weather. Saturday I was at the Cochecton Town Hall with the Cochecton Youth Group for their tricky trunk. We had a great turnout, and the trunks were amazing.

The best prize went to the family of Gasko and Meyers. They had their black SUV and they added a pirate ship to the back of it. They even had a plank to walk. The Nober and Neidert families were all dressed up as pirates.

Heather Neidert and her husband Jeff told me it was her son Ben and his brother William’s idea and they helped their dad make all the decorations. Mary Jane and Jeff were there and they made some good looking pirates.

It was nice to see the Lake Huntington Ambulance and Fire Company out with their trucks doing a trunk. Thank you to all. I was talking to Vicky Kraus and she was telling me what a great turn out the Lake Huntington Presbyterian Church had with their penny social. She would also like to thank everyone who chipped in and helped run the event and all who came out to support the church.

Recently, with the help of Pecks in Callicoon and Jeffersonville, The Grover M. Hermann Hospital Auxiliary had a fundraiser to help purchase a new dexascan, the most important tool in radiology for Bone Density Testing. A big THANK YOU to Jeremy Guinan, Manager in Callicoon and Will Hatton, Manager in Jeffersonville and to all the cashiers who helped with this event.

Of course, it would not have been successful without the support of the community. Thank you to All! The Grover M. Hermann Hospital Auxiliary will continue to work to support our local hospital and help in any way they can. If you would like to join us, call (570) 224-6173.
