Anyone else counting down the days until Spring? The warm weather can’t get here fast enough! Looking forward to less frigid temperatures and later sunsets.

Great job to the members of the Cochecton Ambulance Corps who participated in the Kent VFD ice rescue drill earlier this month.

The Women's Community Club of Cochecton does not meet during the winter, but would like to keep in contact with members, friends and other town residents who may be feeling shut in, lonely or just bored in the cold, ice and snow. If you, or someone you know, would appreciate occasional friendly phone calls, please notify VP Nancy Campis at (845) 866-2343. WCCC is hoping to have a luncheon in the spring and will again offer scholarships to Sullivan West graduating high school seniors. More information coming soon.

The Roscoe NY Chamber of Commerce is holding their Trout Town Ice Festival on February 26 starting at 10 AM throughout Roscoe, NY. There will be live music, alpaca walks, bonfires, s’mores, vendors, food, skating, snowshoeing, cross country skiing and more.

Feeling artistic? Creative Arts Therapist Candace Rivela, introduces action painting: a dynamic art form that relies on the body’s spontaneous movements and gestures to transform a blank canvas into an abstract work of art. March 9 from 6-7 pm at Bethel Woods info@bethelwoodscenter.org for more information.

Join the CYC on an Easter Egg Train Ride on April 9th at 10am. Please note that space is limited and may sell out. Bring your basket and take a ride down the Bunny Trail, to a special egg hunt where there will be a surprise visitor! Steps required to get on and off the train. The train will run rain or shine and the trip will take about two hours. Adults are $20 and out of town youth are $10. Sign ups will be March 1st at 6:30.

The Sullivan County Historical Society & Museum is hosting a live music event with Little Sparrow and the All-Star Opry Band on February 27 at 1pm. Admission is free, but donations are always welcome.
