I must thank all the taxpayers of the Town of Cochecton. We did it, we broke last year's record of 88.07% of tax payments collected. In 2021 we paid 90.20%. I think that is amazing.

I will tell you a lot more people made full payments in January right up front and more paid in cash than used credit cards. I am so proud of all of you, no one likes paying taxes, but you got to do it. I will have to find out what is the highest percent of taxes paid by a town in Sullivan County, and I will aim to beat it next year. Are you with me?

I was passing Fosterdale Country Café today and I saw it was open. I made a u-turn and got me a large twist. It was heaven in my mouth and pounds on my hips. They will be open on Tuesdays through Sunday, closed on Mondays, from 1pm-8pm ICE CREAM ONLY. If you want to call ahead the number is (845) 932-8683. It was so relaxing, the sun was shining, and the birds were singing as I licked away. Most definitely sings of spring.
