AMEN, hallelujah my first brother Christopher who got the coronavirus is doing really well, he is almost normal. My brother Johnny is doing much better but not out of the woods yet. My cousin Kay has it now but she seems to have had it for a few weeks. Thank you for all the thoughts and prayers.

Something very crazy happened to my brother Johnny. He got a phone call from a lady he used to work with at the post office years ago.

She was really calling to talk to Johnny's wife to find out the funeral arrangements for Johnny. When Johnny picked up the phone, she almost had a heart attack. This just proves you cannot believe everything you hear. A rumor started at his job and four people called my sister-in-law to give their condolences. Thank God he is alive and kicking.

I was talking to Jerry Yavarkovsky, and he told me the litter pluck this year has been cancelled. There will be no bags or sticker available. If you see something on the side of the road and you want to pick it up that would be great. Jerry told me him and Judy are doing good, staying in and washing their hands. He wishes everyone well, and hopes you are staying safe.

April White, the CVAC Captain of The Cochecton Volunteer Ambulance would like to give a shout out to all of our emergency dispatchers for National Public Safety Telecommunicators week April 12-18. Thank them for their tireless service being the calm voice in the dark for the public in time of crisis and as the guiding light for our emergency responders.

You have to check this page out: The Lake Huntington NY page on Facebook hosted by Paul Genco. Kristina Snedeker is putting up some very cool pictures from the 1976 Bicentennial when the town had a parade. If you are on Facebook and see these pictures and know the people in the pictures, please share. Not only do I enjoy the pictures but I love reading everyone's comments and stories they remember. Cochecton was hopping back in the day, so funny to see all the men in suits and women in dresses.

Tax season has come to an end. I closed the tax books out on Friday April 3, 2020. If you have any questions or need tax info, please check out www.taxlookup.net. If you have a question for me email me at taxcollector

@townofcochectonny.org or call the county at (845) 807-0200, they are working on a moderated schedule due to the coronavirus.

I would like to welcome my new neighbors to The Town of Cochecton. Colin Gallagher and his wife Holly and their new 4-week-old daughter Saoirse. Also living with Colin is his mother-in-law Coreen Sullivan and the beautiful dog Keva.

Keep smiling and have a great week and you can e-mail me at leeniebeans

@citlink.net or call (845) 252-3568 if you have any news.
