December 15 - Hello, how are you all doing? I hope you are staying home and staying safe.

It's going to be a crazy holiday season, not seeing my family and going into NYC for a few days to see the sights and the tree. I am sure we will all zoom but it's not the same, but you do save on the travel costs, traffic and time.

If you're out and about at night, drive past the old Town Hall to see the Christmas lights on The Cochecton plow sign- looks nice. Brian Heinle did a good job.

You should really go see the light show at Bethel Woods, amazing. I remember when I first moved up to Cochecton in 1997 at Christmas time the Youth Group would team up with The Women's Community Club of Cochecton to make Christmas ornaments and have hot cocoa and cookies. All would go out and decorate the tree in front of the old town hall, and we would sing Christmas songs. My husband and I knew we moved to a special place.

Here is some information on Holiday hours for local businesses.

Heine's General Store: Mon-Fri 7am-7pm, Sunday 8am-6pm, Christmas Day 8am-2pm.

Cochecton Fire Station Restaurant: Christmas Eve noon -7pm, Christmas Day CLOSED, New Year's Eve TBD, New Year's day noon -7pm.

Lakeview Pizzeria: Closed TFN.

Annie's Ruff Cut: Christmas Eve 12 noon-5pm, Christmas and New Year's Day CLOSED, New Year's Eve 12 noon -9pm.

Pete's Market: Christmas Eve 7am-8pm, Christmas Day 9am-2pm and New Year's Eve 7am-8pm, New Year's Day 8am-8pm.
