In 1995 Barbara Dollinger opened The Ecumenical Food Pantry in Narrowsburg. The food pantry is housed in St. Francis Xavier Church. When Barbara brought this idea to Fr. Tom Jones (not the singer) about the food pantry together they got the ball rolling.

Barbara worked the food pantry for 15 years and left it in good hands with Emily Bacchiocchi, then Emily handed it over to Jennifer Maurizzio who is the current president. The 25 years the food pantry has been open it has helped hundreds of families.

Many churches are involved with volunteers and donations. The churches are The Lady of the Lake and the Presbyterian Church of Lake Huntington, St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the Methodist Churches of Narrowsburg, Unitarian Fellowship of Beach Lake and The Barryville United Methodist Church. Thank you, Barbara, for all you do for our community, may God bless you.

The food pantry is always looking for nonperishable food and mostly monetary donations. The food pantry is open on Thursdays from 4:30-5:30 p.m. If you would like to volunteer or make a donation you can mail a check to PO Box 55, Narrowsburg, NY 12764 or call Jennifer at (845) 252-6761.

Did you know that The Ruff Cut, was sold and was called Matsons? It's been sold again and it is now being called Annie's Ruff Cut. Annie and her husband Erwin sure do make a mean pastrami sandwich. I have to get there one night for dinner, it is our go to place in the town hall offices on Friday for lunch.

*Save The Date*

Saturday March 14, Lakeview Pizza & Bar is having their famous Corned beef and Cabbage Dinner.
