Holy Moly. The hardest part of Tax Season is over, Thank God. It's not a hard job it's a pressured job. You must have the tax payments into the computer and in the bank within 24 hours of them being delivered.

This year taxes had a little oops on the sewer district tax bills. The Sullivan County Treasurer and her staff worked side-by-side with me to get it fixed.

I worked all weekend with spreadssheets from the county to fix the oops.

It was only in the sewer district. As soon as I get the go ahead, I will send letters out. All the new tax bills are updated on taxlookup.net. If you call my office to ask a Tax question and I am not there, please leave, a message so Ican call you back and help you 845-932-8360 X 17.

If you take a ride around the lake you will see people out on the lake ice fishing. I think when it comes to a sport like that, I still got a lot of ‘Queens' in me - no way would I stand on a lake freezing, but I did stand on the street corners with my friends for hours and froze.

So the ground hog, Punxsutawney Phil, is saying an early spring. I don't think he has the weather app. I looked on the weather app and it's snowing as I am typing. It's going to snow Thurs., Fri., Sun., Mon. and Tues.

I like the winter and shoveling snow. I just do not like driving in bad weather.

The Cochecton Youth Commission has a lot of great events coming up. If you are a member you will be getting emails, if not leave a message and they can sign up your kids.

All Cochecton Youth Commission events are free to the youth that live in Cochecton. Please check out the face book page New Cochecton Youth Commission, it is updated quite often.

If you go on to The Lake Huntington page on Facebook you will see a lot of old pictures of Lake Huntington back in the day. Thank You Paul Genco for keeping that page up-to-date and all the great photos.

If you have any news that you want to get out there please let me know.

Keep smiling and have a great week, you can e-mail me at leeniebeans

@citlink.net or call 845-252-3568 if you have any news.
