It has been almost a year since The Cochecton Volunteer Ambulance Corp. put out a simple post. Looking for leads on an ambulance.

Almost immediately we got a reply from the Ambulance Captain, Ashley Batzel, from White Mills Fire Dept. that they may be able to help. So we made arrangements to look at a possible replacement. It wasn't brand new, but new for us. Our present ambulance is 20 years old and showing her age.

So after some discussion we took delivery of our 2017 ambulance in late Feb. Our membership got very busy, we forgot to take a before picture but it had red striping and gold lettering. Our members prepped it for its new look.

With the expertise of Karen Rapp of Newman Signs and Designs, Industrial Electronics, and our Stryker rep., Nicholas Westendorf, 15-82 got its new identity for Cochecton.

We would also like to thank the contributors to our ambulance fund drive. Without all of you this would have been more difficult. When current events make it possible we would like to give our new addition a proper introduction. Our current plans are to keep both ambulances in service for the time being.

The following are 2021 Cochecton Volunteer Ambulance Corp. officers. Captain Michael Bruce, Co. Captain April White, Lieutenant William Blush, President Michael Attanese, Vice President Peter Grosser, Treasurer Carol Nearing, Secretary Barbara Anttanese. The Trustees are Steve Sauer, John Zimmerman, Barbara Attanese, and Michael Attanese.

We are always looking for new members and donations. There's still time to apply to the Spring EMT course at SUNY Sullivan! Below is the updated class schedule starting Feb. 10th. Contact tross@sunysullivan.edu for an application ASAP. For more information you can call Mike Bruce at 845-932-8138.
