Did everyone have a nice New Year's? On New Year's Eve, I was home alone, but not alone. My youngest brother who is a drag queen, Ariel Sinclair, and his friend were doing a live show on Facebook - oh my goodness they were funny.

We brought in the New Year together with lots of love and laughter. At the stroke of midnight I opened my front door to let the old year out and let the New Year in.

The day after New Year's I was out and about at Pete's Market in Narrowsburg and I ran into Joan Ritz and her son Tom. Joan looked great and sends her love to all with a big Happy and Healthy New Year. It's funny when you are wearing a mask that covers most of your face, you have to look twice to make sure it's the person you think it is.

I would like to welcome Maryann Blaso Oumrim to The Town of Cochecton. Maryann is the new Town Clerk. It is very strange being in the office and not seeing Hollye, or hearing her laugh and the office dog Bugger who both passed in 2020. I look forward to working with Maryann and our new office dog Digger.

If you are friends with the Lander and Billard family, Lisa has a message for you. “My dad is going to be 90! Yes I can't believe it either, but because of Covid-19 we can't celebrate the way we want (at least for now) so we are asking if you'd send him a birthday card with your favorite memory of him. Send cards to Dan Billard, 387 Evergreen Lane, Narrowsburg, NY 12764.”

Antoinette from Annie's Ruff Cut would like you to know they are open. All you have to do is call in your order for pick up 845-932-5100. Their indoor dining is limited and they are closed on Thursdays. Annie is always posting her specials on Facebook.

The 2021 tax season is official, tax bills are up and loaded on taxlookup.com. If the weather is bad, call first at 845-932-8360 X 17. If you are paying in person you have to wear a mask, put your tax payment on my desk and wait in the hall.

Keep smiling and WASH YOUR HANDS. Have a great week, you can e-mail me at leeniebeans@citlink.net or call 845-252-3568 if you have any news.
