What is going on, this virus is crazy, I always have plenty of toilet paper. I did go to the Monticello Walmart with my friend on Friday, it was not that bad. I got everything I wanted, I did need tissues, but I was not paying $1.98 for the same thing I can get in the Dollar Tree for a dollar.

I did have a scare 2 weeks ago. Sunday night I had the chills, the sweats, dry heaves and it was coming out both ends if you know what I mean. I also felt like I went a few rounds with Mike Tyson. I called my Doctor and was told not to come in. I was being sent to the nursing triage. I was put on hold then I was asked a slew of questions. I was also asked if I could hold my breath for 10 seconds. I did it for 25 without coughing. I was told I had the regular flu. The difference with coronvavirus is fever, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing. Flu is fever, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, muscle and body aches, headache and fatigue.

The ladies of Lake Huntington Presbyterian Ladies Aid have postponed their penny social on Saturday, March 28 for the time being till this threat of the virus has passed. Thanks to everyone for understanding.

The board of The Cochecton Youth Commission would like everyone who signed up for events to keep an eye on their facebook page and emails for cancellations. As you all know the schools in Sullivan County are closed.

The Lakeview Pizza and Bar would like to thank everyone who came out to their corned beef and cabbage dinner. It was a great success, we would like to invite you to a fundraiser we are hosting. On Saturday, March 21 we are having The Windy Mule and Margaret Bruetsch performing 2-4 p.m. All proceeds and donations will go to Ride 2 Survive in Sullivan County. All the staff would like to let everyone know that they are taking every precaution on having a clean environment. The address is 23 Crestwood Road, Lake Huntington. For more information please call (845) 932-5061.

Supervisor Gary Mass wants everyone to use common sense and follow the guidelines government officials have in taking care of yourself and others from spreading the Virus.

Keep smiling and wash your hands. Have a great week, you can e-mail me at leeniebeans@citlink.net or call (845) 252-3568 if you have any news.
