Thursday I was on my way to the tax office. As I was passing the Bunch house, I noticed the back building was down. I called Lauren to make sure everyone was o.k. and to find out what happened.

First thing Lauren told me was that everyone is o.k., no one got hurt. Lauren and Eric were discussing what to do about the banquet hall and nature decided for them. During the day they heard a few pings and a few hours latter they heard a big swoosh, the banquet hall was no longer, the house did not even shake they said.

They were telling me that they brought it back in 1989 when it was The Fiddlers 3, but their house was really known when it was the Kennedy's Corners and Sam and Al's.

As we were talking, I asked how the four kids were doing, and she said Erin lives in Binghamton and is doing great. Jaclyn who lives in Alabama is a doctor, Kate lives in Syracuse and will be a neurosurgeon when she graduates in May. I said wow, a brain surgeon and their youngest Bill is into computers and is back home helping out.

I am now in my tax office and Melissa Rutledge comes in and asked me did you see the back of Fiddles 3 is gone? I told her of my conversation with Lauren and Eric, and she told me she had her sweet 16 in Fiddlers 3 back in 1986 “a good time was had by all”. I called Paul Genco up and asked him to go get some pictures and put it on Lake Huntington NY so all can see.

Cochecton Youth Commission is really trying to keep the kids busy during the COVID-19 pandemic. Follow them on Facebook for upcoming events.
