I think we are at the end of fall foliage. Trees look like they are ready for winter. Before we know it the snow will be coming down. I have to apologize to my friend “The Judge” Bob Meyer. I was driving right past him the other day on my way to a town board meeting. I just honked, I usually stop and we have a chat. Next time Bob.

Sunday, October 20: Woodloch Pines holds a Susan G. Komen special event each year to raise money for Breast Cancer, hundreds of really great prizes starting at 5 and ending around 8. Calling of the baskets starts at 7, it's $10 to get in. If you want more information or would like to stay over, call and make a reservation 570-685-8002.

Saturday, October 26: Tricky Trunk 10 a.m. in Town Hall lower parking lot. If you are doing a trunk, set up is at 9:45. For more information call Eileen 914-799-4486.

Tuesday, Nov 5 is Election Day. Please come out andvote. The Republican club members are selling tickets for their annual Election Day Chicken BBQ. Take out only $12 each and pick up will be at Lake Huntington Fire House, State Route 116, from 4-6:30. Call Ed Grund at 845-252-7363 for tickets. The Presbyterian Church Ladies Aid will be selling their bake goods starting at 10 a.m. in The Town Hall.

Please follow The Cochecton Youth Commission Facebook page. Lots going on (New Cochecton Youth Commission). For all the following events sign up is on Tuesday, October 15th from 6-7 in the new town hall lower level. ALL EVENTS ARE FREE TO COCHECTON YOUTH. If you are a family in Cochecton with children, please come and join in the fun.

Saturday, November 2: Kalahari Indoor Waterpark Day Trip open 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. Food and activity voucher included for Cochecton Youth. $69.00 for adults and out of town children, $15.00 for those who would just like a Spectator pass. Questions call Sue: (845) 866-0853.

Saturday, November 30: Parent and Me - Paint and Eat Party in Honesdale, PA. You will be decorating a bowling pin for the holidays (most likely the Grinch and another Grinch character). Adults will cost $35. Included with this craft will be dinner, dessert, and non-alcoholic drinks. Please contact Michelle Steich for questions (570-419-8801).

Saturday, December 7th at 6 p.m. Santa's Slay Murder Mystery Dinner. With just a few weeks until Christmas, Dark Forest Creations is looking for an actor to play Santa in an upcoming show help solve the crime and win great prizes! Recommended age for this event is 12 and up. Murder Mystery includes hors d'oeuvres, dinner and dessert in the Burn Brae Mansion dining room in Glen Spey. The cost is $47 per person.
