Another week down and we are entering the holiday season, yes it goes pumpkin, turkey, then Santa.

Saturday morning at the town hall lower parking lot the Cochecton Youth Commission had their Tricky Trunk. About 37 kids showed up in some very interesting costumes, I kind of like the marshmallow man and his mother the clown. There were handmade costumes as well. I was ‘Happy Holidays'. I had on Santa slippers, shamrock pants, pumpkin tee shirt, heart necklace, turkey earrings and a flag bandana. Thank you to everyone who came with a trunk. The winner was the Popolillo family. A big thank you to Maryann Blaso Oumrim for her delicious cupcakes. Make sure to follow New Cochecton Youth Group on facebook for upcoming events.

Sullivan West Holiday Toy Drive, Nov 4 - Dec 10, for local families. They will be collecting new toys and gifts to be donated to families in need. They are working with United Way and all of the items collected will stay in our district and will be given to SWCSD families. Please bring the gifts unwrapped.

Donations can be dropped off at the elementary building lobby or the high school mailroom. Some ideas are Lego's, barbies/dolls, sporting items, toiletry sets for teens, movies, CD's, board games, hats, scarf/gloves, art sets, crafts, cars and trucks. All questions can go to Tara Brey Breytar@swcsd.org or call 845-482-4610 X 5131 and leave a message.

Wednesday, October 30th at 7 p.m. the Sullivan West Junior class fundraiser; the original Ghostbusters, will be at the Callicoon Theater.

Tuesday, Nov 5 is Election Day, please come out and vote.
