Did you miss me? I was away on vacation with my sister, brother-in-law and best friend Paula, we went to Seattle, Washington for a few days and then we took a cruise to Alaska. I had the best time. In December I turn 60 and this was something that was on my bucket list.

In Seattle we went to the Air Museum and went into Air Force One and the Concord. We got to see B52's and all the early war planes. We saw the Space Needle and did Pike Street Market. Then on to a wonderful 7 day cruise up to Alaska stopping in Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan and Victoria Canada. The best part was Glacier Bay seeing all the beautiful Mountains and Glaciers. The views were absolutely breathtaking.

I have to thank LiseB Trip Guy travel agency for making my travel plans so easy. I took Shortline bus from Monticello down to Queens and the bus went on fire. I was on the side of the road trying to get the police, fire department, bus supervisor to get my bag from under the bus. They got my bag out. I was very happy.

Sunday, October 20 Woodloch Pines holds a Susan G. Komen special event each year to raise money for Breast Cancer. If you have never been it is the biggest tricky tray I have ever been to, hundreds of really great prizes starting at 5 and ending around 8.

Calling of the baskets starts at 7, it's $10 to get in and you can buy tickets to enter into special prizes. There is complimentary wine and beer tasting, hors d' oeuvres and a yummy dessert bar. If you want more information or would like to stay over, call and make a reservation 570-685-8002. This is their 12th year, let's make it a great one, hope to see you there on Election Day.
