SULLIVAN COUNTY – Three special Management and Budget Committee meetings of the County Legislature have been scheduled to take place over the next week.
The first takes place today, the second will occur after committee meetings on Thursday, and the last will take place on Tuesday, December 7. All three meetings begin at 3 p.m. and are in the Legislative Hearing Room at the Government Center in Monticello.
The purpose of those meetings, according to the County, is to discuss the tentative 2022 budget with some individual divisions and/or departments.
Following the special Management and Budget Committee meeting on December 7, there will be a public hearing on the proposed 2022 county budget that’s set to start at 5 p.m.
According to the County, the $259,088,488 budget, as currently proposed, stays under the State-mandated property tax cap, with a house assessed at $100,000 seeing a projected average increase of $48 in its County tax bill.
Full details of the budget are available at www.sullivanny.us.
