Western Sullivan Public Library Director
Do you have a favorite memory about visiting the library as a child? Have you been back recently to see the new resources, programs and services that the library offers? February is Library Lovers Month, and there is no better time than now to love your local library!
How can you show your love? The best way is to sign up for a library card and use the library. Not only do you have access to an infinite number of books, but also a digital library with ebooks, audiobooks, newspapers, film streaming, museum passes, online resources, programs for all ages, welcoming spaces, local history, online tutoring, access to the internet and printing, and much more.
Another way to love your library is to spread the word about what they offer. Give them a shout-out on your social media. Make sure your friends and family all have library cards. Let your representatives know why the library is important to you and your community.
Volunteering or joining a Friends of the Library group is a great way to show your love and lend a hand at the same time. Joining a Friends group gives you the opportunity to support the library by raising awareness, connecting with the community, and raising funds for special projects your library has going on. The Friends of the Western Sullivan Public Library are currently seeking new members. Call the library at 845-482-4350 or visit www.wsplonline.org/page/friends-of-the-library-13.html for more information. Friends of Liberty Library will have its next meeting on Monday, February 26 at 11 am. Annual membership starts at just $5.
Stop by your library anytime or visit their website and find a new reason to love your local library!
