MONTICELLO — Petitions will be available Friday, August 9th, for the October 9 election of trustees at the Ethelbert B. Crawford Public Library in Monticello, N.Y.  Six board seats are up for election:

Three seats for full 3-year terms (1/1/25 – 12/31/27)

Two seats for the remaining 2 years of two 3-year terms (1/1/24 – 12/31/26)

One seat for the remaining 1 year of a 3-year term (1/1/23 – 12/31/25)

Incumbents Richard Arnold (3yr), Lois Berkowitz and Jane Rosenzweig (2yr), and Lynne Albuquerque (1yr) are seeking re-election;  Lisa Clark (3yr) is not seeking re-election.  One 3yr seat on the board is currently vacant.

Come to the library to pick up a trustee petition from the election secretary if you are interested in running and you are an eligible voter that resides within the library service area (the Town of Forestburgh, Bethel or Thompson within the Monticello Central School District). Petitions must be returned to the library by 5pm on Monday, September 9.
