Loving mother, grandmother, wife, sister, aunt, cousin and dear friend, Linda Beth (Hodus) Fiddle Rodgers died peacefully on June 22, 2021 with her loving children by her side. Her love of life didn’t come to an end with her passing, her loved ones will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.

Linda is survived by her “three diamonds” daughters, Jodi Fiddle-Lieberman of Liberty NY, married to Paul Lieberman, Mandi Fiddle Bergenfeld of Boca Raton, FL and Robin Fiddle Posnack of New City, NY.

She was married to Joseph Fiddle of Parksville, NY for 29 years, bearing her three daughters and spent her last 18 years married to James Rodgers, living with him in paradise in Fort Myers, FL.

She was lucky to have her first granddaughter, Jill Lieberman Remler, married to Harrison Remler, share her birthday and a special bond. She had 9 grandchildren, Joshua and Jeremy Lieberman, sons of Jodi Fiddle Lieberman and Paul Lieberman, Jordan and Jake Bergenfeld, sons of Mandi Fiddle Bergenfeld and Adam Bergenfeld, Cody Siegel, Jack Posnack, Charlotte Posnack and Hunter Posnack, children of Robin Fiddle Posnack. She loved her late son-in-law Adam Posnack who treated her like a mother.

Linda was born in Pelham Parkway in the Bronx to Edith and Conrad Hodus on March 31, 1943. She graduated from Christopher Columbus High School and continued her education at New Paltz College. She was a nursery school teacher at Congregation Ahaveth Israel in Liberty, NY. She was the proud owner of Fiddle’s Dari-King and the face and smile of Parksville. She radiated sunshine wherever she went.

After spending her youth at Hodus Bungalow Colony in Parksville, she then spent her adult life raising her family there, which will be her final resting place. Linda’s greatest pleasure was being with her family. She loved spending afternoons shopping, cooking, going to the movies and gallivanting around town with her best friend and late sister Bonnie Hodus. She lost her younger brother Jerry Hodus Memorial Day weekend this year and her loving big Irishman husband, James Patrick Rodgers, our “Six-million dollar man”, who loved her UNCONDITIONALLY ALL OF HIS LIFE.

A funeral service was held at 1:00pm on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home, 388 Broadway, Monticello, NY with Rabbi Brian Leiken officiating. Burial immediately followed at the Congregation Tefereth Israel Anshei Cemetery, Lilly Pond Road, Parksville, NY. All were welcome to attend and celebrate Linda’s life.

Shiva followed at the Lieberman home: 101 Aden Road, Liberty, NY
