A drive-through event for all ages

BEACH LAKE, PA - 2020 has been a LONG, HARD year. Why not start your Christmas celebration early by seeking and finding the Babe in the manger?

On Friday, December 4 and Saturday, December 5, from 7-8pm, Beach Lake United Methodist Church invites you to enjoy a free drive-through Living Nativity. The church is located on Milanville Road, across from the Beach Lake Fire Hall, and is visible from Rt. 652. in Beach Lake, PA.

Just like the Trail of Tales held in early November, this event can be enjoyed by all, ages zero to ninety-nine. The drive-through Living Nativity will allow attendees to experience the journey to the manger from the safety and warmth of their vehicle.

Participants will start with the Prophet Isaiah and continue on through various stations around the perimeter of the parking lot, hearing the message of that first Christmas proclaimed anew.

The journey builds toward the final scene: the babe in the manger, surrounded by Mary, Joseph, shepherds, angels, and live animals, sure to delight the children. The final scene can be enjoyed either from the comfort of their vehicle or individuals can choose to park and experience the stable masked and socially distanced on foot.

Jeremiah 29:11 promises, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Won't you come and spend some time pondering this question: What will Immanuel mean in your life in 2021?

Beach Lake United Methodist Church holds in-person contemporary worship services at 7:55 a.m. and traditional worship services at 10:15 a.m. every Sunday. These services observe CDC guidelines by including face masks and social distancing, among other measures. Services may also be viewed online through www.BeachLakeUMC.com.

This Christmas Eve, at 7pm, one service will be offered simultaneously in 4 different locations: live, socially distanced in-person in the church sanctuary; socially distanced in-person simulcasted in the church fellowship hall, simulcasted via radio from the safety of one's vehicle in the church parking lot, or simulcasted on Facebook or YouTube from the safety and comfort of one's home.

For more information about The Living Nativity and other upcoming events, please call the church office at (570) 729-7011.
