ROCKLAND – The Livingston Manor and Roscoe communities made their way to the auditoriums of each school district to celebrate the student athletes from the fall and winter on March 17 and March 20. Across the two seasons, many of the sports between the two schools were merged, and students from both communities were invited to both Roscoe and Livingston Manor to present awards, letters and pins.

Livingston Manor hosted their fall and winter modified awards prior, but the Jv/Varsity night was postponed due to weather. Similarly, Roscoe had a weather postponement and held their modified, Jv and Varsity awards in the same night.

For the two smallest districts in Sullivan County, both communities packed the auditoriums to support the local student athletes and celebrate their achievements.

The fall season featured merged Football, Girls Soccer and Cross Country teams. 

The Cross Country award winners were Joseph Park - Sportsmanship Award, Nevaeha Jones - Coaches Award and Anthony Hicks - Most Valuable Player.

Girls Soccer awards included Zaylee Cox - Coaches Award, Isabella Francisco - Coaches Award, Alyssa Peck - Coaches Award.

The award winners for Football included Dillon Tolbert - Sportsmanship Award, Kyle Hendrickson - Coaches Award and Anthony Teipelke - Most Valuable Player.

The winter season didn’t feature any merged varsity teams, but rather a boys and girls basketball team for each school and a Livingston Manor cheerleading team.

Starting with Manor’s award winners for Boys Basketball, Morgan McKinley won the Sportsmanship Award. Logan Park and Robert Staudt each earned a Coaches Award and Daniel Tobert won the Most Valuable Player.

The Girls Basketball team had three award winners. Ciarra Staudt earned a Sportsmanship Award, Jocelyn Mills won a Coaches Award, and Mackenzie Carlson was selected as the team’s Most Valuable Player.

The Cheerleading team for Livingston Manor had two award winners, with Megan Cristaldi winning a Coaches Award and Anthony Mendoza being named the Most Valuable Player.

For the Roscoe teams, Boys and Girls Basketball, there were six student athletes that earned awards.

Kansas Miner earned a Sportsmanship Award, Athena Niforatos received a Coaches Award and Ashlee Ladenhauf was the Most Valuable Player.

The Blue Devils’ Boys Basketball team awards included Joseph Park as a Sportsmanship Award winner, Aiden Johnston won a Coaches Award, and Anthony Teipelke was the team’s Most Valuable Player.

As the Athletic Director for both districts, Dave Eggleton welcomed attendees, introduced coaches and helped hand out awards for both schools, and wished student athletes luck as they prepare for the upcoming Spring season.

Scholar Athletes were announced for both Roscoe and Livingston Manor as well at their respective schools’ awards nights. For Livingston Manor, Braeden Green and Mackenzie Carlson were named as OCIAA Scholar Athletes, and Roscoe’s Anthony Teipelke and Ashlee Ladenhauf earned the honor as well.
