Local author book event on May 6

BETHEL — Local author, Charles Marinaro, is holding a book event for his memoir, Metamorphosis: The Art Antidote Odyssey, Saturday, May 6th at 1 PM at The Past Perfect bookstore in Bethel, NY. The book covers a large range of important topics many in our area are faced with including mental health awareness, addiction, foster care, sexual abuse, suicide prevention, and many more. Metamorphosis follows his journey from childhood to adulthood as he navigated troubling and chaotic times in his life using many forms of art as therapy. The book also covers the topics of what it takes to be a struggling filmmaker and the sacrifices we make in pursuit of our dreams.

The event is free of charge and hosted by the Literacy Volunteers of Sullivan County. Books with be available for purchase with part of the proceeds going to the Literacy Volunteers of Sullivan County. Light snacks and drinks will be available during the reading/event.
