Loraine D Kuebler, 95, of Youngsville, NY, passed away on January 30, 2023 at her home. The eldest of seven children, she was born to the late Frederick and Helen (Rasch) Peters on Friday, January 13, 1928, in Queens NY.

During WWII, she worked in the offices of Dun & Bradstreet in New York City. In the late 1940s, the Peters family relocated to Bethlehem Road in Callicoon Center, NY. There she would meet and marry Robert J Kuebler. They worked on their family dairy farm and raised three children - David, Janet and Arlene. 

She worked several years at the office of Steinhauser’s Garage in Callicoon Center in the 1970s. In 2014, after living 65 years at the homestead on Bethlehem Road in Callicoon Center, she would relocate to her son’s residence in Youngsville, NY. 

As a homemaker and gardener, she would grow vegetables, fruit trees and herb gardens and share the bounty with family, friends and acquaintances throughout her life. She was a member of the Royal Garnettes Red Hats in Jeffersonville, NY.

She was predeceased in death by her husband of 55 years, Robert J Kuebler, in 2004. Surviving are her son, David (Karen) Kuebler, and daughters Janet (Eric) Nystrom and Arlene (John) Siska.

Grandchildren: Charles Nystrom, Richard Nystrom, Sheri Thompson, John T Siska, Kristina Siska and partner Sean Li, Christopher Haney, Deanna Kuebler and husband Zachary Hoover, Timothy Kuebler and partner Geraldine Williams.

Great-grandchildren: Charles Nystrom Jr., Jake Nystrom, Austin Nystrom, George Kuebler, Brady Thompson, Declan Haney and Jordan Hoover.

Of her seven siblings she is survived by her sister, Barbara Festa, and brothers Walter (Betty) Peters and Raymond (Maria) Peters. She is also survived by several cousins, nephews, nieces and extended family.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, St Jude’s or the charity of one’s choice.
