Madelyn T. Grisafe, age 63, passed away peacefully at home on February 24th, 2023  surrounded by her family.

Madelyn was a loving mother, wife, and friend, who often found joy from the simplest pleasures in life. Madelyn loved to read, enjoy music and theater, and above all, spend time with her family and friends. She cared deeply for her family and neighbors. She did this not out of obligation, but because of who she was. Madelyn was beloved by many, serving as both a mentor and a teacher to all. She will be deeply missed.

Madelyn was predeceased by her mother Dorothea and father John Mallon, her sister Lois Duffy, and brother John Mallon. She was a member of the Silver Masque Players theater group, and served as medical transcriptionist for Catskill Regional Medical Center and Middletown Medical Group.

She is survived by her husband, Benjamin Grisafe, her son Benjamin Grisafe, and her daughter Cherylyn Freda, her sisters Dorothea Crawford and Carole McCann, and her brother Peter Mallon, as well as many loving family members.

Services will be held at St. Francis Church in Youngsville, NY on Saturday, March 4th at 11AM. Friends that wish to honor Madelyn’s memory during this trying time can make a donation in her name to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, NY, 845-482-4280. To send condolences, please visit stewartmurphyfh.com
