SOUTH FALLSBURG — The Town of Fallsburg Police arrested a 24 year old South Fallsburg man and charged him with Fleeing From a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd Degree and Resisting Arrest, both misdemeanors, and multiple traffic offenses. Arrested was Brandon Serrano-Gonzalez on July 30, 2022 while Town of Fallsburg Police Officers were investigating a dispute at 128 Pleasant Valley Road in South Fallsburg. Fallsburg police discovered that Brandon Serrano-Gonzalez had multiple active warrants for his arrest from the New York State Police, which caused the defendant to flee the scene on foot. While patrolling the surrounding area for the defendant, patrol officers observed Serrano-Gonzalez enter a Grey Hyundai Santa Fe on La Vista Drive, and he fled the location when patrol officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The vehicle entered the rails for trails in South Fallsburg then emerged onto Westwood Drive where police pursued him. Shortly after, the defendant then exited the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot through a residential yard. After ignoring police commands to stop, Fallsburg Police K9 Maus was deployed and subsequently subdued the defendant, who was taken into custody.

Brandon Serrano-Gonzalez was released on an appearance ticket and was turned over to the New York State Police for active warrants in the Towns of Mamakating and Liberty. The defendant was scheduled to appear in the Town of Fallsburg Justice Court on Tuesday, August 2nd, 2022.
