Marilee Ann Guarneri of Pearl River, NY died peacefully, Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Garnet Medical Center in Middletown, NY surrounded by her loving family. She was 78 years old.

Marilee was born September 9, 1942 in Brooklyn to Willard and Charlotte Erskine McClung. She lived in Pearl River for the past 65 years. She was married to her husband Salvatore for over 53 years. Marilee was a long-time member of the Pearl River United Methodist Church.

Marilee is survived by her brother, Norman McClung of Spring Valley, NY and her four sons and their families, John and Debra of Ballston Spa, Robert and Laurie of Montgomery, Thomas and Elizabeth of North Kingstown, RI, and David and Marie of Old Forge.

Her eight grandchildren, James, Kevin, Brian, Amanda, Eric, Jessica, Matthew, and Kaitlyn. Marilee’s five great-grandchildren, Kasey, Kyla, Anthony, Julianna, and 12-week-old Annabelle.

Marilee is predeceased by her son, Jimmy in 1970 and husband, Sal in 2016.

Marilee was devoted to her family. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. She would always have pictures available to show her neighbors and friends. Marilee loved being outdoors, especially in the summer and early fall, which was spent at the cabin built by her grandfather in Smallwood, NY. It was here that she enjoyed sitting by the water at Smallwood and Kauneonga Lakes. Long scenic drives through Callicoon and searching for deer and bald eagles were also a favorite pastime.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, at the Pearl River United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Rockland Cemetery, Sparkill, NY. Visitation was held on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home, Inc.
