Mark Puerschner named Sportsman of the Year!

The officers and committee chairpersons along with a limited selected group of people were invited to the Rockland House in Roscoe by the Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs, to hear the announcement of their “2020 Sportsman of the Year” Mark Puerschner and to draw winning names of the Federation's sweepstake prizes.

Mark Puerschner is a member of Buck Ridge Hunting Club and a dedicated member of the Federation and is well deserving of this “once in a lifetime” prestigious award.

Vice President of the Federation John VanEtten presented the “2020 Sportsman of the Year” plaque to Mark Puerschner.

• The winning names were then drawn for the 2020 sweepstake prizes: 1. Polaris 500 Ranger Side By Side ATV was won by Richard Dangelis from Wurtsboro. 2. $125 Gift Certificate from Fur, Fin & Feather Sports Shop in Livingston Manor was won by Bill Buddenhagen of Jeffersonvville. 3. $100 Gift Certificate from Cochecton Mills in Cochecton was won by Ron Krom from Grahmansville. 4. $100 Gift Certificate from Everyday Apparel in Monticello was won by John Gagamba from New Jersey. 5. $50 Gift Certificate from Delaware Valley Agway in Callicoon was won by Joe Sustack from Middletown. 6. $50 Gift Certificate from Liberty Agway in Liberty was won by Michael DePuy from Neversink. 7. $50 Gift Certificate from Tractor Supply in Liberty was won by Jim Gennosa from Oceanside, NY. 8. $50 Gift Certificate from the Sportsmen's Den in Callicoon was won by Joe Fitzpatrick from Claryville. 9. Canoe/Delaware River Trip for Two from Landers in Narrowsburg was won by Cindy Prince from White Sulphur Springs. 10. Fishing Day for Two at Hunter Lake in Bethel was won by Jody Condon from Margaretville. 11. Custom Knife from Harold Buley was won by David Meyer from Pembroke, Florida. 12. ½ Gallon of Maple Syrup from Muthig Farms in Parksville was won by Sean Tegnander from Jeffersonville. 13. Dinner for Two at the Rockland House in Roscoe was won by Danita Kristoff from Grahamsville.

• Everyone enjoyed a delicious dinner prepared by the Rockland House.

• The Federation's November monthly meeting will be held on November 11th at 7:30 PM at the Sullivan County Conservation Clubhouse at 140 Kortwright Road, Monticello, NY 12701.

• Sad news to report, Bill Buddenhagen of Jeffersonville, a dedicated member of the Federation has passed away. They don't come any better than Bill and we will certainly miss him. My condolences goes out to his family.
