Middletown Kiwanis to Honor Heroes, Past and Present

MIDDLETOWN – The Kiwanis Club of Middletown, NY proudly announces its new project entitled “Flags for Heroes” that is designed to honor the many heroes in our lives – past and present. Such individuals might be veterans, first responders, health care workers, teachers, parents, grandparents or someone special in your life. As you can see, heroes come in many forms.

For a $50 donation a 3’x 5’ American flag will fly with your hero’s name and a personalized medallion will be sent to the hero’s family or representative of your choice following the formal dedication ceremony. Flags will be flown from September 6 to September 17. This impressive display will be at the corner of Schutt Road & Trust Way on Orange Bank and Trust property. We are grateful for the assistance and support of Orange Bank & Trust Company allowing the use of their property for this display. We are also grateful for the assistance and support of the Town of Wallkill, as well as other friends.

The formal presentation ceremony will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 11:00 AM. We hope that in this trying time in our nation’s history many people and groups, in addition to invited dignitaries, will attend this ceremony.

For additional information and sponsorship forms please contact The Kiwanis Club of Middletown, P.O. Box 752, Middletown, NY 10940 or the program chairperson, gerdakrogslund@frontier.com
