New Book Club begins June 25 at the Mamakating Library

WURTSBORO – Beginning June 25, the Mamakating Library adds a non-fiction book club to our ongoing book clubs, Perspectives & Pages. This club is held every last Wednesday of the month at 2pm. It operates like our existing book clubs: patrons register for the club, check out the reserved discussion book, come to group ready to discuss. Our first discussion book is, The 3rd Alternative, Stephen Covey’s 2011 exploration of conflict resolution styles.

Perspectives & Pages will be a club of diverse opinions engaging in open and honest discussions each month. We hope to foster a tolerance for a difference of thought, culture, and perspective.

Perspectives & Pages is our third book club. Books & Tea and Keep It Short Stories are two well-established book clubs at our library. The former is a fiction book club with different teas shared every month on Tuesday. The latter is a short story club meeting monthly on Zoom on Fridays. No monthly commitment is required for any of our book clubs. Attendees can register for each month. Once registered, the participant can check-out the discussion book (kept on reserve behind the circulation desk) with their RCLS library card.

You may find out more information by using the calendar feature at mamakatinglibrary.org or by calling 1-845-888-8004.

For more information about our book clubs or any of our programs visit our website or follow us on Facebook or Instagram using the handle @mamakatinglibrary. All library programs are free and open to the public. The Mamakating Library is located at 128 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro.
