HONESDALE, PA — D&H Brewery LLC has announced the acquisition of Irving Cliff Brewery in historic downtown Honesdale, Pennsylvania.  “We’re very excited about the possibilities,” said Vince Benedetto, President of Bold Gold Media Group, one of the owners of D&H Brewery, who, along with Justin Genzlinger, Greg Pollock, and Joseph Napoli will be leading the new venture.  “We have assembled a tremendous team of area business and community leaders with a diversity of skillsets, all of whom believe in the future of Honesdale and Northeast Pennsylvania.  We intend to honor the heritage of Irving Cliff as a brewery, which dates back to the mid-nineteenth century, while also paying tribute to Honesdale’s legacy as ‘The Birthplace of the American Railroad’.  This will be a unique craft-brewing experience, we plan to take our customers on a journey through the past and into the future.  We will have many wonderful announcements along these lines in the coming weeks”, said Benedetto.

D&H Brewery has an agreement with Settlers Hospitality Group to operate the day-to-day operations of the brewery and restaurant. “We are extremely excited to launch our next restaurant concept in Honesdale which complements our development efforts throughout the Pocono Mountains and also the Scranton and Lehigh Valley markets.   The historic site of the project and dedication to highlighting the Rail Heritage of the region are core to the historic preservation DNA in our value system at Settlers Hospitality”, said Justin Genzlinger.

Once various improvements and upgrades are made to the brewery and restaurant a grand re-opening and relaunch of the establishment is planned for late spring.
