Cheers to Karen S Murtagh! After years of exceptional and friendly service as Mongaup Valley Post Office Postmaster, we wish Karen all the best in retirement.

Kudos to 2019 TCS NYC Marathon AWF Squad, especially Susan Harte, Jenna Diaco, Ashley Morse, and Jackie Rutledge, for running the 26.2 miles. Other team runners were Alex Buchaco, Emily Casey, Jennifer Mitchell, Stephen Mulvihill, Sharon Osterholt, and Courtney Schadt. Congrats to Jaed Altman who ran the Chicago Marathon recently, too!

Helen Budrock, a great lady and valuable asset of Sullivan Renaissance since 2007, is moving to a future with Delaware Engineering. Her intelligence and planning knowledge was a great influence in years of Bethel First, Town and many area projects. Thank you Helen, for all you have contributed!

To Do List: Send me your news. Always check Bethel Parks & Rec opportunities, but look into Nanashousechildcare.org for free trips for children under 18 (Adult fee). The trips are always interesting, good opportunities and sell out early, therefore, book ahead!

Bethel resident's assistance programs: Apply at Town Hall for free Smoke-CO2 home alarm installation (583-4350x111) and qualify for CEAP, Citizen's Energy Assistance Program. TARA Spay/Neuter service certificates are available for $30. (583-4350x101).

Be a good neighbor: Donate outerwear, clothing, personal and household items to local organizations that serve our communities. The ‘Posse' Ladies are collecting hygiene and personal items. Bethel's ‘Nourish Your Neighbor' bins are placed in area businesses for donations of healthy foods to local pantries. Would you like to ‘host' a bin? Call Chris at 583-4350. Contact Jamee (Ladyjam91@aol.com) to donate gently worn footwear to a special organization helping children.

Culture: Check Bethel Woods, the Museum, Stray Cat, and area arts site schedules. Visit restaurants hosting musicians.

Take the time to travel and post your pictures of the ‘Bethel Heritage Trail' (www.bethelheritagetrail.org) through local 1969 Woodstock highlights or to complete the SCVA ‘Dove Trail' of 50 doves in our 15 Sullivan County towns.

Attend a Bethel Woods Conservatory “Art, Music & Woodstock for Kids, Session II” on Saturdays at 10 a.m. or at the Museum's ‘Drop In Workshop' on Saturdays at 1 p.m. until November 23rd. Reg: bethelwoodscenter.org.

Callicoon Theater screens “Terminator: Dark Fate” from the 7th - 11th. “Raise Hell: The Life & Times of Molly Ivins“ is showing at the Hurleyville Arts Center on the 8th - 10th.

On November 5th, all Town Departments are closed. Please use your privilege to VOTE on Tuesday. SC Public Health offers a Flu Shot Clinic & Wellness Day at Monticello's SC Federation for the Homeless on the 7th from 11-1 p.m. Bethel Woods presents ‘David Sanborn' in the Events Gallery on Thursday at 8 p.m.

Tyler Storms performs at the Dancing Cat on the 9th at 7:30 p.m.

November 11th is Veterans Day! Town Departments will be closed. Bethel Veterans Day Service will be held in Kauneonga Lake Square at 11 a.m. Refreshments at the Senior Center will follow the service.
