Paris R. Hall Sr. of Wurtsboro died unexpectedly on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at the age of 66.  The son of the late Rochester Hall Sr, and Florence Johnson Hall, he was born December 3, 1955 in Newark, NJ.

Paris, Ricky/Richie/Richard, “Brother-man,” “Moe”, wore many hats in his life. To know him was to know love, hard work, selflessness and integrity. After many years working for Yellow Freight, Emma C. Chase Elementary School, and ShopRite Supermarkets, a work accident forced an early retirement. It also opened a door to what he called his “new purpose” in life. There were two: taking care of his growing family and joining the YMCA of Middletown, NY, as an Aquasize instructor. He forged new, wonderful friendships and earned a new, healthier lease on life–one that earned him the title of “Pop Pop”. He worked hard, but he loved so much harder, and while he knew how much his family loved him, he will be missed more than he could possibly know.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Hollie Hall, at home; their children: Paris (Abigail Hall) and Keenan (Lauren Hall); grandchildren: Zahra and Emery Hall; siblings: Rochester Hall Jr, Martha Dismont, Michael Hall, and Marsha Dutton; nieces: Courtny Boston and Aruna Dismont; aunts: Pearl V. Hall and Anna Butler; and many cousins, but one favorite cousin. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings: Patricia Hall, Cynthia Hall, and Nelson Hall.

Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, October 14 from 3:00 to 6:00pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro with a memorial service starting at 5pm.
