Peter F. Gozza passed away unexpectedly on December 20, 2021 in Richmond, VA. He was 69.


The son of the late Peter and Dorothy Gozza, he was born August 19, 1952 in Liberty, NY. The brother of ten siblings and a loving father to his three children. He was a retired economic development professional as well as a passionate disaster recovery specialist with FEMA, a role in which he cherished as a second career after retirement. He loved his family, sailing, hunting, fishing and his University of Miami Hurricanes.


He is predeceased by his daughter Carly, brother William and brother Robert. Survivors include Roberta Gozza of Holbrook, NY, Courtney and her husband Michael Amodie of Charlottesville, VA, Dr. Nicholas Gozza of Toledo, OH; his grandchildren Miles, Carson and Roman; sister Candy and her husband John Gabel of Youngsville, NY, sister Gail Gozza of West Palm Beach, FL, sister Terri Gozza and her partner John Cali of Parksville, NY, brother Ron and his wife Toni Gozza of Jupiter, FL, sister Mary and her husband Mitchell Cohen of Wilmington, DE, brother Timothy Gozza of Boca Raton, FL, sister Linda and her husband Dan Borgmeyer of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and brother Christopher and his wife Jody Gozza of Neversink, NY and many nieces and nephews.


A mass will be held at St. Peter’s Church, 262 North Main Street, Liberty, NY on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 11:00 am. Burial will be for family only following the mass and a reception will be held at the home of Christopher and Jody Gozza at 50 Farmstead Drive, Neversink, NY.
