SULLIVAN COUNTY – Last week the Eldred Yellowjackets, suffered their second loss of the season to the Sullivan West Bulldogs. In a nail biting back and forth game that saw the score tied three times, and the lead change hands on more than one occasion, Eldred came up short on the scoreboard with less than four minutes left in the game. Now 4-2, Eldred will look to regroup as they face the Onteora Eagles tonight at 7 pm in the “hive.”

The Liberty Redhawks (0-6), are still winless this season after making a valiant effort on the road last week against the New Paltz Huguenots. The Redhawks are on the road again this week to meet the Red Hook Raiders at Dietz Stadium on Saturday at 5 pm. 

The Panthers (0-6), fell to the Red Hook Raiders 38-0 last Saturday, another tough loss as the Panthers have yet to secure their first win of the season. They will head to Chester to take on the Chester-Seward Hambletonians tonight at 7 pm.

The Rockland Wolves (1-5), and Tri-Valley Bears (1-4), are scheduled to meet on Saturday at 1:00 pm in the Bears’ home territory. With both squads having relatively young teams we’ll see how they matchup on the field when it comes to their teams’ dynamics.

Finally, the Bulldogs(4-2), are off this week. Riding high on their 52-48 win over the Eldred Yellowjackets, they will be back in action on Saturday, October 25.
