MONTICELLO — The Monticello and Liberty boys headed to The Monster on Thursday for a division match. Liberty won the afternoon, bringing their record to 3-2 overall and 2-0 in the division behind a 273-322 performance. Monticello fell to 1-3 (1-2) after the loss. Liberty’s Owen Moore shot a match-best 50, while Josh Miller was Monticello’s best golfer with a 56.

Baseball
Port Jervis visited Liberty on Thursday afternoon, defeating the RedHawks 17-4. The loss dropped Liberty’s record to 2-6 overall and 0-3 in the league. Zach Alvord went 2-3 with two RBI in the loss.
Sullivan West took on Fallsburg on Wednesday afternoon, and the Bulldogs completed a 20-0 shutout victory. Brian Ingber had Fallsburg’s only hit, and Evan Ebert got the win on the mound, while going 2-3 at the plate with four RBI and four runs scored.
Fallsburg followed up with a home game against Chester on Thursday, losing 16-1. Alex Depuy had Fallsburg’s only hit.
Softball
Liberty hosted Port Jervis on Thursday afternoon, and the Raiders put up 22 hits as they overwhelmed the RedHawks 28-4. For Liberty, both Nevaeh Davis and Quinn Allen each had a single, RBI and run scored. Aubrey Botsford, Aaliyah Williams and Elaina Ramirez also had hits for the RedHawks, whose record fell to 3-5 (0-2) after the loss.
Golf
The Monticello and Liberty girls dueled at The Monster on Thursday afternoon. The Lady Panthers were able to take the win, bringing their record to 5-4 overall and 3-1 in the league. Liberty’s record moved to 1-3 and 1-2 in the league. Monticello’s Abby Morse led the way with a 55, followed by Madelyn Cavello (60) and Hailey Kaplan (62). Liberty’s Claudia Herzog scored a 67, followed by Maria Abreu (69) and Mia Barragan (70).
The Tri-Valley boys took to Tarry Brae on Thursday to take on Cornwall in a non-division match. The Dragons were able to take a 220-257 victory, dropping the Bears’ overall record to 2-3. Tri-Valley was led by Misha Khodakovski, who shot a 43 on the Par-36 course. Brandon Huggler was close behind with a 44, followed by Jai Patel (54), Alex Uciechowski (57) and John Mingo (59). Travis Capawana, though not included in the team score, shot a 62 on Thursday afternoon.
