Renee Levy (Rothbell) passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, April 12th. The daughter of Reuben and Evelyn Rothbell, she was born in Brooklyn, NY on January 5th, 1930. She was a long time resident of Monticello where she and her husband Arnold owned Levy’s Shoery. Arnold predeceased Renee in 2008.
She is survived by her children Marty Levy (Pam) of Los Angeles, CA, David Levy (Margo) of VA Beach, Ed Levy (Jami) of Scottsdale, AZ, and Cindy Weakley (John) of Evergreen, CO. Renee is also survived by her 5 grandchildren: Robert Levy (Christyn), Melissa Gogel (Abe), Mike Levy (Jane), Alexa Weakley, Brenden Weakley; and six great-grandchildren: Rebecca, Carson, Deacon, Parker, Gallileo and Orion. Renee was predeceased by her parents Reuben and Evelyn Rothbell and her siblings Fred Rothbell and Marilyn Chetkof.
Service will be held on Friday, April 15th at 11 AM at Cedar Park / Beth El Cemetery in Paramus, NJ.
