Roasted Brussel Sprouts with Garlic

There is nothing better than sweet, carmelized brussel sprouts. I made them last year for Thanksgiving and they were a HUGE hit! This is such an easy side dish for your Thanksgiving feast and really does not take a lot to prepare.

I will typically double this recipe, but to make, you will need 1 lb. of brussel sprouts, 4-6 tablespoons olive oil (to coat the bottom of the pan), 5 cloves of garlic peeled, and 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar. To prepare, heat your oven to 400 degrees.

Trim the bottom of the brussel sprouts, and slice each in half top to bottom. Heat oil in cast iron pan over medium high heat and put sprouts cut side down in one layer in pan. Put in garlic and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Cook until sprouts begin to brown on the bottom and then transfer to the oven and roast, shaking the pan every 5 minutes until they are quite brown and tender, about 10-20 minutes. Taste and add more salt and pepper if necessary.

Lastly, stir in your balsamic vinegar and serve hot or warm. These acidic and sweet brussels will make an amazing side dish to your turkey this year. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving! XO
