Rock Hill FD responds to multiple calls

ROCK HILL –– “It was a busy night in Rock Hill,” said Robbie Green, Chief of the Rock Hill Fire Department.
They were dispatched to a vehicle fire just prior to Exit 110 on Route 17 at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday evening, and upon arrival saw that it was fully involved.

The department’s engine, tanker and rescue truck responded, and Route 17 westbound was closed for a short period of time as firefighters quickly extinguished the flames.

Following that fire, members of the Town of Thompson FAST team, which consists of firefighters from the Monticello and Rock Hill Fire Departments, headed out to White Lake to assist with a fire.

Then when they got back, the Rock Hill Fire Department responded to a two-car accident around 10 p.m.

There were no injuries in the vehicle fire or two-car accident.
