Ronald Wesley Hull, passed on to glory September 10, 2022. He was born July 23, 1945 and raised in Galilee, PA by his parents, Ralph and Hazel Hull.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Nancy; his daughters, Penny (James) Short and Wendy Falcon; his grandsons Nicholas, Michael and Nathaniel and great grandson, Seamus.

He is also survived by his siblings, Betty (Darryl) Jirinec, Walter (Sylvia) Hull and Helena (Robert) Williams and sister-in-law Beverly (Howard) Whitmore.

Ron held his family close to his heart; including the many nieces, nephews, cousins and larger extended family in Jeffersonville, NY. After graduating from Sullivan Community College and marrying his high school sweetheart, Ron supported his family by working at IBM in Endicott, NY for more than 25 years.

After retiring from IBM he worked at the NYS DMV over 10 years. Ron made his living supporting main frame computers; however, he was always a farmer at heart. “Digging in the dirt” (as he would say) and haying in the fields were his favorite places to be.

Other things that he enjoyed were pitching for his IBM softball team, playing pick-up basketball, woodworking, and watching the Yankees, Giants and Celtics. You would seldomly see Ron outside of the house without his Yankees cap on.
Ron was a wonderful example of service to God and he was a dedicated member of Wesley United Methodist Church for over 50 years where he served on many committees and put the inspiring messages on the sign out front.

Across the community, Ron made an impact through the West Corners Volunteer Fire Department, volunteering at local food banks, and his consistent giving to various charities. Ron was a quiet, gentle man who loved his family more than anything.

He was a dedicated partner in life to Nancy who could be seen walking daily either at the mall or rail trail. He was a wonderful supporter of his daughters and their families. His grandsons made him beam with pride with their personalities and accomplishments.

His face would light up whenever he greeted any of his family and friends which made them feel loved. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 3-5 p.m. at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 E. Main Street, Endicott, NY. A service for family and friends will be held at the Damascus Manor United Methodist Church on Saturday, September 17 at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Ron’s memory may be made to CHOW at https://broomecouncil.net/ donate/ or the Wesley United Methodist Church, 1000 Day Hollow Road, Endicott, NY 13760.
